a lovely coincidence

Just yesterday my lovely sister and I visited one of our favourite places.

After a couple of hours in Craig y Nos Country park we made the short journey up the Swansea Valley to our "Paradise".  For anyone who doesn't know, it's where two of the streams that go on to form the River Tawe converge.

And yesterday was quite the sight (and sound) after all the rain we've had recently, with both streams in full flow.

Anyway, while we were there I realised that it was around this time in 2015 that Corinne and John took me out for the very first time after my stem-cell transplant in July of that year.  I was very weak, could barely walk and in dire need of a change of scenery.

So, of course, we headed for Paradise.  And we had a photograph taken of the both of us there.

On checking when I got home, I found that it was almost exactly (one day out only) to the day that we were there back in 2015.  So, here are two photographs, one from that day eight years ago and one from just yesterday.  We are sitting on precisely the same spot!
