more of those pens

I am somewhat of a collector it has to be said!

I've written on here before of my completist tendencies, and I've got collections of all sorts ranging from books to records, CDs and of course cameras and lenses, although the latter to a much lesser degree these days it must be said.

When I bought my first fountain pen way back in (I think) December 1981, I had absolutely no idea that some 42 years later I'd have over thirty of the things!

Yep, that's right, I now have thirty-three fountain pens, and a slightly fewer number of inks, but still quite a collection of those too.

And I used to have more!  I've sold quite a few pens over the past couple of years and at one stage I must have had over forty of the things.

I've no plans to buy any more, but then again, I never did before.  Although I do want to get myself a "grail" pen.  A really special pen, perhaps a limited edition one or a rare one.  I've got one in mind.  It's made by a now long-gone Italian pen company called Omas and is made from a particularly beautiful Arco-celluloid.

One day.  One day!
