I've gone all pro...

…and max.

For someone who enjoys more than his fair share of technology and gadgets, I’ve never been all that fussed about my mobile phone.

I mean, I have a computer for computer things and a camera for photographing things.  As long as my phone did the basics of calling and texting well, then things like the camera while being great to have, weren’t the main reason behind my purchase.

And I only upgraded every three years or so, certainly not annually like some people do.

But when it came time to replace my iPhone 12 last month, I decided I wanted to go all in with my new phone, so bought a new iPhone 15 Pro Max.

I went with the Pro model for the simple reason that over the summer I seriously rationalised and cut down my camera gear (leaving me with just two systems, my main Fujifilm one and my Nikon macro-based kit) and so I needed some sort of back-up camera system and there’s none better than Apple’s pro iPhone ones.

Then I went “Max” simply because the cameras in the larger screen are better.  Well, one of them (the telephoto) is.  I don’t need the larger screen because my eyesight is still perfect and not deteriorating in any way…

Anyway, I really couldn’t be happier.  The design and build of the new phone, along with the materials used make it lovely just to hold, and the screen technology is simply fantastic.

I really should have gone down this route sooner.
