there are sunsets...

… and there are sunsets!

I'm not usually blessed with great fortune when I go out for some golden hour (sunrise / sunset) photography.  Promising conditions with high, broken cloud always seem to get snuffed out at the last moment and I'm left disappointed.

Not so one late afternoon a couple of weeks ago when with rain clearing the forecast looked encouraging, and I set out with my new lens on my old camera and headed for our "paradise" in the Swansea Valley and the foothills of the Brecon Beacons.

And then I got this little beauty.
