my neighbours think I'm a weirdo
How many of us have uttered those words down the yea... oh, just me then.
Oh well.
You see, I like taking pictures of leaves. I'm sure you're well aware of that. Usually, I'll indulge my passion in the privacy of a shaded woodland - my happy place. But sometimes I'll spot compositions while out walking Dexter, and as I walk very slowly and have to stop at regular intervals, I do come across plenty.
Now, sometimes I'll take a quick phone snap before gathering the leaves up and then recreating the scene as best I can back home. Sometimes I'll gather the leaves and then just dump them on the floor back home and photograph whatever happy accident befalls.
And then there are the occasions when I have my camera with me, and today's image is just one of those. But why would my neighbours question my sanity? Well, because to get the final image sharp from back to front requires focus bracketing, which in turn requires a tripod.
So, picture the scene: dog on his lead in one hand, camera release in the other and me hunched over a tripod twiddling the focus ring on my lens between shots apparently of the pavement.
No one has called the police on me.
Yet...

Oh, by the way, I bought a new camera bag. You can meet it just by watching this really very short video:
