I'd be no good at an identity parade
All summer long I've been mis-identifying a particular butterfly seen in my garden. The small white has been a regular visitor, particularly when the temperatures soared into the high 20s and mid 30s back in July and early August.
But all summer long I kept referring to them as cabbage white butterflies. I've no idea why, as looking back at previous years images, I've always correctly classified them.
I blame old age and the hot weather!

I spotted this particular example on a dead clematis flower, which I think complements it beautifully, and only noticed the tiny little greenfly after processing and enlarging the image.
I blame old age and my eyesight!
