jagger, richards and me

One of my favourite Rolling Stones songs is "Dead Flowers" - an uplifting little ditty a sad song all about breaking up, despair, retribution and drug addiction.  It can be found on their rather excellent Sticky Fingers record.  You know, the one with the zip on the front.

Anyway, what has the dynamic song writing duo got to do with me?

Well I'll tell you.  This past couple of weeks the dry, hot, long summer days have been replaced with rain and dullness.  And I thought what better metaphor for a dry, hot and long but now forgotten summer than some dead flowers.  

So that's what I did.  I shot these...

and these arranged rather artistically (I thought anyway) in a brass tap fitting...

See, I told you I was an artist.  Now if only I could receive the same in royalties as Mick and Keith.  That'd get me some satisfaction I can tell you.
