speeling

Sorry, spelling.

I had some time on my hands today so I thought I’d look back through some of my old blog posts.  Two things struck me:

1. the length of some of my earlier ramblings (yes I did go on a bit)
2. my spelling and grammar (well, things like apostrophes and such like) – it was in some cases awful.

Now I can blame the fact I was out of my mind on dope and speed (i.e. chemotherapy and morphine) for much of the time coupled with the fact that the keyboard on my antique MacBook wasn’t backlit making its use on a dark ward problematic, but that just doesn’t wash with later posts where I was more lucid and had newer technology to fall back on.

But it’s technology that’s the problem.  Autocorrect and spell check have ruined me.  And it’s no surprise that these don’t exist on my blogging platform (well they probably do but I haven’t switched them on).

So, what to do about it?  Take more care when I type?  Proof read posts more thoroughly?

No.

What I will do in future is compile my posts using a word type package and then if there are no red or green underlined bits to be seen copy and paste the whole lot onto my blog.

Aesy.
