let it snow
Two more images from my snow day in January this week.
Not landscapes though - these are close-ups of two frozen plants in my back garden; a lavender and a cyclamen.
I no longer possess a macro lens, so used my 35mm lens with some extension tubes fitted to enable a much closer closest focus distance. I then mounted my camera onto a geared, sliding tripod head to make composition and critical focus just that little bit easier.

Which one do you like best? For me it's the lavender - I love the more subtle tones and you can almost feel the texture of the frost on the plant.
