looooooong exposures

I'm a huge fan of long exposure image making.  You know the sort of thing?  Milky waterfalls, misty ethereal seas - that sort of thing.

It's quite a powerful technique to enable a picture to tell a story, and to turn a pretty view into a piece of art.

It's not quite as simple as holding your camera's shutter button down and hoping for the best though.  And over the many years I've been taking such images I've developed something of a comprehensive workflow to ensure I get more keepers and fewer rejected images.
