another colour conundrum

Another Saturday image - sorry.

Cast your mind back to May.  It's the start of summer, days are getting longer, and the warm air is winning its battle over the cold.

Now bring into mind a needle scratching across a record - to herald a "stop" to those thoughts.

I'd made a trip out to get the image for my "low, wide and dirty" post of two weeks ago.  It was absolutely freezing.  So, when we reached the destination for this week's shot Dexter refused to get out of the car.  I though am much more stupid, so I did get out.  But only long enough to shoot one image.

At the time I was convinced it should be in black and white.  After processing it though, I re-edited it in colour (and made one or two other minor changes).  Here are both images.  I still lean toward the monochrome one, but which do you prefer?

Fujifilm GFX50R, Fujinon 100-200mm f5.6 @ 100mm
1/2 a second @ f16, ISO 100
tripod, self-timed release
Formatt Hitech 3-stop reverse graduated filter

I've collected my favourite 20 images from this Autumn and put them into one easy to view video, which you MUST watch by clicking below:
