old and twisted
The tree, not the photographer.
A couple of weeks ago, I spent a really uncomfortable night in bed with extreme back pain. I couldn't get off to sleep no matter how hard I tried (yes, I know you're not meant to try to sleep but I was desperate) and at 5am I gave up and resigned myself to just getting up early.
After finishing a job I'd started on my computer the previous evening re-organising all my digital storage (come to think of it, it was probably the fear of losing valuable files that caused my insomnia) I packed my camera bag and headed out of the door.
I arrived at Gnoll Country Park just as the gates were opening at 8am, parked up and made the short walk to the tree I wanted to photograph with Dexter. After watching some park runners race past I set about getting three images from different angles of this really interesting old oak.

All the images were shot using my Fujifilm GFX50R and 23mm f4 lens mounted on a tripod. Each image was shot at 1/2 a second, f16 and ISO 100 using the camera's self-timer to avoid any risk of camera shake.
Of course, I filmed my exploits (not very well, but...) and you can watch the video on YouTube by clicking below. Go on, please do - and it'd be nice if you left a comment as well. It all helps. You can subscribe to my channel too - if you really want to that is!
Did you know trees 'talk' to each other through their roots? (Just a little piece of useless information for ya'! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat’s not an oak.
ReplyDeleteDid I mention that that’s not an oak? 😂(not sure why it came up twice!)
