just like buses

You wait for ages for one to turn up, and then two come together (OK, a week apart but...).

Only not buses on this occasion, but pictures of Mumbles Lighthouse.

I haven't taken a picture of the lighthouse and its island from Mumbles Pier for many years.  Mainly because the pier has been closed to the public, but now it's re-opened so after a day of heavy rain had cleared through last month the family (including Dexter of course!) headed for the pier and hoped for great, post-storm light.

I didn't get great light, as cloud obscured the lighthouse itself from getting any direct sun to illuminate it, but got the next best thing as the cloud tops lit up with that mid-autumn glow.

I think the best time of day would be sunrise, but the pier gates are locked until 9am so unless I can get there on 21 or 22 December for the shortest day I think this is the best I'll get.
