very, very green

I've got a hosta growing in a shady part of my garden.  It's been in its pot in the same spot for years now, and when every winter it dies back, I'm left with a mound of green moss out of which new growth will start to emerge in the springtime..

The other morning though, after a night of drizzly rain, the mosses were looking particularly beautiful, and closer inspection revealed some dew or raindrops had delicately settled on the soft bed of greenery.

The lighting is going to remain a trade secret however.  Did I hear someone say iPhone.....?

So, I rushed indoors, grabbed my macro gear and set about photographing the mossy heap.  And I got two images I'm really rather proud of.
