a change of purpose

I moved into my home way back in August 1993.  And one of the first things I did was build a garage to house my bikes.  And then when my racing career ended it became an overnight home for whatever car we owned at the time.

Today though that has all changed.

My garage has been transformed into a home gymnasium for my daughter who in a bid to get super fit has invested in one of those weight lifting machines.  You know, the ones that when bought by middle ages mid-life crisis afflicted males soon turn into clothes-horses?

After a joyous (ha!!) day spent putting it together which taxed my brain far more than it will ever tax my daughter’s muscles, the steel frame, weights and yards of wire and pulleys resembled something akin to that on the front of the 25-page instruction booklet.

Luckily there’s still room for my bike and its indoor trainer so I can exercise my fast eroding muscles along with a punch bag for, well, I’ll let you guess.

While my daughter was spending money on her health, I was busy upgrading my computer system.  You can find out what I decided to do by watching this week’s unmissable video!
