my most bestest image of 2022

What what??  A post on a Sunday.  Something important must be happening

Well, it is!  It's that time of the year again when I trawl through the images I've shot this year, whittle them down to a shortlist and then pick my favourite three.

It's something I've done every year for as long as I've stored digital images, and an exercise that I look forward to as it gives me an excuse to look back at the best of the best images from the previous year.

Each year it gets more and more scary though.  Not the pictures, they're not frightening (well, not purposely they're not!), but just the sheer pace with which the passing of time seems to be accelerating.

It only seems like weeks ago I was choosing the best picture I made in 2021.  Or 2017.  Or any other year for that matter.

Scary indeed!

Anyway, if you would like to find out which image I've chosen for this year's oh so prestigious award (spoiler - it isn't the one I've included above - that's not even on the shortlist), then just click on the video below.

Will it be a landscape?  A seascape, maybe or a macro shot?  Or will my woodland photography have suddenly improved to the degree that a picture of some trees could walk away with the trophy?  (There isn't actually a trophy but you know what I mean…)

  1. 'Best/Perfect' is a very subjective adjective. But I like the bee one too!
