you can't knock me for trying

Back in the summer I vowed to practice and practice and become a better macro photographer.  OK, so I'd set a very low bar with my previous efforts but nonetheless I feel my tiny photography skills did in fact improve.

Fast forward to the autumn and I decided to apply the same, erm, application to woodland photography; a sub-genre I have enjoyed immensely but always struggled to perfect from a personal perspective.

So, again, I practiced and persisted and did it all over again.  Now, I'm not claiming to be a woodland master, but again I feel I have improved.  To see whether you agree, have a look at the following (necessarily) short video showcasing my best efforts.

  1. Why do we strive for 'perfection'? Can't we just enjoy the ride? :-/

    1. ‘Strive’ is a good word. Today I spent two hours on a cold, windy beach with Nick. Yesterday we walked quite a distance to a waterfall. None of this is easy for him physically, but he stops at nothing to try and get the perfect shot. I love my brother 😃
