thanks Apple - for nothing!

I'm not an Apple fan boy.  Yes, I like their computers and phones, and therefore it was sensible for me to invest in their ecosystem, because everything does "just work".

Well, mostly.

You see, I've got a lovely, but quite old now, Bluetooth keyboard. It's the old mechanical style with proper keys that make that lovely clicking noise when you press them.  You know, what you do at work to make you sound busy!

my A1016 keyboard might as well be the A1016 bypassing Chelmsford

Well, after upgrading to the latest operating system, this majestic piece of still perfectly working equipment is no longer a keyboard, but effectively a brick.  Apple saw it fit to disable the "handshake" that needs to take place between Bluetooth enabled devices for them to see each other and work.

There must be a workaround, right?

Well, an internet search did reveal one, but it doesn't work for everyone, and guess what?  That's right, I'm one of those unlucky people.

So, I'm now left with a beautiful keyboard and no way to connect it to my computer.  Thanks Apple!

Two videos for you to endure, I mean enjoy, today.  One is a review of a rucksack (exciting I know...) while the other is a selection of images and some film footage set to a rather lovely tune.
