what a day

We went for a lovely family stroll in our local patch of nature last week.  Despite being caught out in the rain it turned out to be one of the best days ever.

Why?

Well, just as we were getting to the end of the path, a robin I'd spotted in a tree flew down and took some meal worms from the palm of my hand.  I was so excited I thought I was going to explode.

I didn't get any footage or even a picture of it, so you'll have to make do with these rather boring ones instead, sorry!

I'm really quite proud of this last one.  Shooting through some branches to the new growth beyond them lends it a somewhat dreamy air don't you agree?

All were shot handheld with my Fujifilm X-T5 and 100-400mm lens set to 400mm.  Aperture and ISO are constant throughout at f5.6 and 800 respectively.  I shot in aperture priority so the camera could decide the shutter speed.

In this week's unmissable video, I review an online photography course I recently undertook.  It was really rather fun!  Wish I could say the same for my videos!!
