wide eyed

This Monday's picture was taken way back in the cold days of mid January, when I ventured down to Limeslade Bay at the Mumbles to film an insert for a video I was planning.

Well, the video is now finished (better late than never!) and so I can publish the picture here.

It illustrates perfectly how I like to go about utilising my wide-angle lens to its full potential, by getting down low and close to my subject and twisting, or stretching the scene's perspective.  You really can get some great results.  Far better than just pointing your camera at a lovely view and snapping away anyway.

Proper use of a wide-angle lens takes care to get the best out of it.  I hope that in this image I can demonstrate that care and attention.

If you would like to see how I went about making this image, while learning how I go about getting the best results I can from my wide-angle lenses, then watch this week's video.  I started filming it in January so it must be good?  Right?

And also, I froze for my art so I feel it deserves a watch just for that!
