Chico!!

Yes we decided to get a budgerigar.  Anyway, we named him Chico (as you already know).  We got him from a local and very reputable pet store that sells literally hundreds of birds along with anything and everything you need to make their lives complete.

So, in his rather large and capacious cage Chico has his food and water along with numerous toys and perched to keep him fully occupied.

And just a couple of weeks ago, and after we were sure he was fully settled in, we let him out of his cage for a fly around the hallway of our home.  This is now a part of his daily routine.

Dexter, our 10-year-old border terrier was a bit confused at first, but now he cries when he can't see Chico in his cage.  They do seem to have bonded and when I play with Dexter and his ball Chico gets excited and joins in from his cage, dancing along his perch and swing!

So, there we are.  We'r now a family of five!
