a plain old bird

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...

...the sparrow!

Now, you might think this little bird is just a blob of brown dullness.  But this image, taken on my local nature trail, completely disproves this theory.

Sitting as it was in full sun, and clearly enjoying being there as it was in no hurry to disappear, I could get a really detailed, low ISO pin sharp shot of the little beauty.  And the sun really brought out the bird's gorgeous coloration.

Blob of dullness?  Yeah, right!
