just fine and dandy (lions)

These Saturday posts should become more regular as the nature / macro photography season gets into full swing. For the time being at least.

One of my most favourite subjects of all to shoot is the humble dandelion.  Hated by most gardeners I welcome their presence on my front lawn along with that other perennial favourite, the daisy.  And you've already seen an image of one this spring!

Today's image was shot with my Micro-Nikkor GOAT lens adapted to my X-H2, and I also put my new halo filter to use to grab what I think is a rather pleasing image.

I would have liked to have shot several focus bracketed images but the wind was just too strong, so I had to compromise and choose a narrower aperture than usual (f5) and wait for a gap in the wind to get my shot as sharp as possible with as much depth of field as I could achieve too.
