...I just couldn't make this image of a crane fly resting on the wall by my front door one day last week interesting. After all, it's just a very flat insect on a very flat wall.
And sometimes you just have to accept that getting a record shot of a subject is just fine, and that's all this week's image is - a record shot. And a cropped in close-up as well. Two for the price of one!
The only complication was having to focus bracket. Yep, even though the scene was likely only three millimetres or so deep and shot at a narrow aperture of f8, getting that close resulted in only slivers of the image being in focus at any one time.
