a very bright new life

I love the springtime.  It's a time for new growth and hope.  And (the subject of today's image) new life, in the shape of a juvenile crane fly, beautifully and brightly lit (artificially sadly!!) while resting on the garage door pull.

And just after capturing this image, I spotted a bee resting in the sunshine on my front wall.  I was lucky enough to grab a three-image handheld focus bracket before it had regained its strength and flown away.  Looking at the image later, I was reminded of a 1977 punk rock singer with all that spiky orange hair!
