it never ceases to amaze

One day last month while putting the bins out, Lisa (I know, don't judge me!) spotted a crane fly on an outside wall.

Now, my life is so exciting that an event like this is particularly noteworthy and a definite diary entry.  I am, after all, odds-on favourite for "World's Most Tedious Man - 2026" award.  The finals are in Basingstoke later this year by the way...

Anyway, I braved the freezing cold weather, grabbed my tripod with its new Benro geared head (see below in case you missed the video about this head) and sallied forth to capture this marvellously engineered creature.
