maybe I should practice more often
My photography "skills" are it must be said pretty rusty after a non-productive winter period. In particular my manual focus bracketing technique needed some work.
Out in the garden a week or so ago I stumbled across a curled up leaf and figured it would make for a good exercise in attempting to create a back to front sharp image. I know what you're thinking: a leaf - how unique!
And what was meant to be a "practice" shot actually turned out quite nicely I think. Here is the finished image...

Only when I put the (very expensive) sheet of Fotospeed Pearl 290 paper into my printer, I somehow managed to get it the wrong way around, so the image was being output onto the wrong side! In disgust I cancelled the print (to save the very expensive ink at least), pulled the paper from the printer and folded it in half, again in disgust at my own stupidity.
A few moments later I unfolded it to find this >>>>>
Some of you no doubt will think it's a better picture!
