hold on just another gosh darned moment
Following on from last week's "is it spring, is it autumn" post, another confusing image today of a mushroom (usually associated with the tail end of the year) shot in March.
I have my daughter to thank for this one though, for it was her eyes that spotted it, not mine. That it was framed by a beautifully decaying leaf only enhances the image I feel.
While I have my daughter's eyesight to thank for spotting the image, my camera (Fujifilm's rather excellent X-H2 in this case) must also take some credit. I had to place it directly on the (thankfully dry) ground to get the exact composition I wanted, relying heavily on the camera's fully articulating rear screen, without which I'd have been left guessing as to my composition, framing and focus.
Anyway, I give you the tiny mower's mushroom:
