are you sure it's springtime

Another image of an autumnal scene shot in the spring today.  And another shot from a session I undertook to re-hone my manual focus bracketing skills - such as they are.

It's a rotting acorn (of course it's a rotting acorn) on a decaying leaf (what else do you expect from me), but shot with much love and dedication.

I figured it would make for the perfect practice subject / scene purely for the depth of interest in an otherwise relatively shallow area, meaning I would really have to concentrate to get everything sharp from back to front.  

I'm getting there, I think.

The videos are back with a bang now, and this latest one is looking at my garden earlier this month to see what's worth photographing.  I'll hopefully repeat this exercise throughout the spring and summer.
