I'm making it my life's mission

OK, that may be a bit of a stretch; an exaggeration if you will, but there is something I want to do this summer that I have so far failed to accomplish in my life to date.

And it's quite simple really.  I want to take a really good picture of a hummingbird hawk moth.  Yes, that's it.  I just want to take a picture of something that I have to date failed to (successfully at least) accomplish.

I'm certain I can do much better than this... effort!

Now, we don't see that many of them in our garden.  Probably just a handful each summer.  But lately their visits have seemed more frequent, but sadly each time one pops in I just don't have my camera handy.

Typical!

I did manage a very poor image a couple of years ago, but let's be honest here, it doesn't really cut the mustard does it.  So, I hope by the end of August to have published a much better one right here on this blog.

Or my life is quite simply a failure!
