the great outdoors
After my little accident on Sunday we have had a wheelchair ramp temporarily installed so I can get in and out of the house.
So today we planned a trip into Swansea where I could go to the camera shop, the Apple shop and the Windsor fish and chip shop for my favourite battered rissole and chips (the healthy diet option obviously!).
Only things didn't quite turn out as planned. My wife had some chores to do which should have taken her up to 11:30 leaving us plenty of time to get home by 3:00 to pick Bethan up from school. But time rolled on, and on until she eventually got home at 12:30. So new plans were drawn up.
Lunch and then a trip to our local supermarket instead. Disappointment doesn't come close to how I felt but never mind - let's make the most of things.
So I bought some nice things chocolates, cofee and tea for the staff that cared for me in hospital and some for home as well.
Not a complete waste of time then.
And a journey back to hospital tomorrow to deliver the goodies, followed by a promised trip to Swansea on Monday.
