I got a new camera

Last Christmas was the 5thsince my cancer diagnosis.  I felt I needed to mark that occasion and celebrate the fact that I’m still here to write this, so I bought myself a new camera and lens.

It’s really rather super.  A Fujifilm GFX50R – a medium format digital camera.  And I got a lens to go with it too.

The picture below was taken while I was in hospital last month and is of Lisa in the glamourous surroundings of the hospital car park.  I’m no portrait photographer but I’m quite happy with the results.  I guess it does help when you have a really attractive model too.  So, if anyone knows one….

Only joking!

Fujifilm GFX50R, Fujinon 32-64mm f4 lens at 64mm
1/15thof a second at f11, ISO 100
handheld

(Ignore the settings – I was getting used to the camera and would never normally shoot a handheld portrait at this speed and small aperture!)
