dense

A word often used to describe me!!

In this case though it refers to this week’s image.  After driving back from photographing a standing stone for my next project I passed this copse of trees right by the side of the road.

As you know, I like making images at the roadside as they fit my agenda of not having to walk too far.  This image was literally ten yards from the roadside.

I wanted to capture the darkness of the forest, but with a leading line into it as well.  Although it leads the eye into the image (hence its name) I don’t think it makes the darkness very inviting which is exactly what I wanted to convey.  I wouldn’t fancy walking any deeper into that gloom, not even with the very brave Dexter at my side!
