Limeslade Bay...again

There are certain locations I’m constantly drawn back to take photographs. These days it’s because they are easily accessible, but I wouldn’t return if I didn’t think I could get something new each time.

Limeslade Bay in Mumbles is one such destination.  Luckily at the coast you have any number of photographic opportunities due to the changes in tide and the weather.

This image was taken on a a very calm day just as the setting sun was kissing the clouds that lingered overhead.  It’s a stitched panorama of two separate images.  I used a long exposure time to turn the sea into an even more calm mill-pond than it was to start with, and a 4-stop reverse graduated filter to hold in the details in the sky rather than shoot bracketed images.

Get it right “in camera” see!!
