a real banger

It's not often that I am completely 100% satisfied with an image.

I always come away thinking I could have done better in terms of the subject, its framing, my composition or the exposure.

But when I got home from a late afternoon drive to our "Paradise" just yesterday evening and imported my images onto my hard drive, I was really excited by what I saw.  So excited in fact that at 2:15am on the day this is going to be posted I am awake, in my office printing this image off and writing a last-minute blog article to showcase it instead of the image you were due to see. *

After all that build up, it'd better be good.  Right?

Fujifilm GFX50R, Fujinon 23mm f4
7/10th of a second @ f16, ISO 100
tripod, self-timed release
Haida circular polarising filter, Formatt Hitech 3-stop reverse graduated filter

* The image due for posting today will be published on Saturday 5th of December instead.

  1. I love the way the water looks with an extended exposure. So ethereal! :)
