Following on from last week's post I figured I'd better post the image that I was actually trying to make that evening.

So, here it is.  That bloody lighthouse again!

You can see what I meant by incoming waves though, can't you?  I wanted to capture that moment when they just start retreating back over the rocks as that's when the best patterns and shapes are woven.

The main problem with scenes like these is when to activate the shutter.  I'd left my remote release in my camera bag safely away from the water's edge and couldn't be bothered to go and fetch it.  So it was a case of guessing when to release the shutter, and this I feel was the best effort that evening.
