And it just worked! Straight out of the box, set up was simple and we enjoyed a month of uninterrupted amazingly strong wi-fi throughout our house.
Until this morning.
When for absolutely no reason the extender decided it no longer wanted to be an extender, then it did, then it didn't, etc, etc... ad nauseam.
Why? Why can't things just work and do what they're supposed to do? I mean our TV set just doesn't say one day that it doesn't like being on the wall anymore so I'm going to stop working. But what is it with wi-fi? It seems that the simplest thing like Mars being in retrograde will result in it upping sticks and refusing to work.
I just cannot fathom it and for that reason I really do feel like chucking the whole bloody lot in a skip and returning to simpler, more innocent times.
Anyone else care to join me?

ReplyDeleteI share your pain Nick. I think it must be the construction materials used in our houses. I've got the router on a little shelf in the lounge for the TV.....I walk a few metres away with my mobile to the spare bedroom where the laptop is and I have no internet yet the laptop is fine but there's no spare socket in between for a range extender!!!!! And, yes, the TV did decide to stop working a week or two ago and now sits in the garage awaiting disposal.....
