a new book available to download

Many of you will know that I enjoy shooting the more intimate landscape scenes that I see.  Or, to put it another way, I take lots of pictures of piles of dead leaves!

There is slightly more to it than that and if you look to the left of this blog, you'll notice my latest e-book "Intimate Landscapes or The Art of Seeing" has appeared.  It's my fourth offering, following on from books about landscape and nature photography and in common with those is completely free to download and peruse.

It'll tell you all you need to know when searching for and capturing those smaller scenes you might find in nature.

I'm going to make more use of this blog in 2025 as a vessel for publishing more of my photography on top of the usual Monday picture post.  I'll try as usual to publish more guides or workflows too, all of which are completely free to access and download.

Take a look at my latest offering, and I hope you enjoy the pictures of leaves in it!

  1. I hope to get back to more writing myself Nick. I spent almost 7 years as a gardening columnist (I even got paid for it; pennies, but it did help with the purchase of guitar strings and pedals), which is one of the main reasons I started my "Framing the Sound" blog. I'll peruse your new release ASAP.
