a source of great comfort
I've often posted on here hpw incredibly lucky I am to have even a small patch of garden at home. Not only does it furnish me with probably 95% of my photographic subjects these days, but it has lately become very comforting for me to just know it's there.
As you can imagine, while these scans are analysed and I have to wait for the results, it's quite a stressful period for me. And this is where my garden has come to the rescue.
On sunny mornings (we do have one or two a year here!) I can sit in the sunniest spot and enjoy my morning coffee with Dexter and Douglas. And later in the day, as the temperature rises (we do have one or two warm days a year here!) my budgie Chico pops outdoors (well, in his cage but out of the house) to join us.
I can watch the birds and the many insects and pollinators that visit as well as just enjoy the garden for what it is, even right now when it's kind of in transition from spring to summer.
Anyway, I made a video (of course) so I can share some of it with you. And you can have a gander at it below...
