juvenile delinquents
I was up at the crack of dawn yesterday (10 June) as I had a CT scan in hospital later in the morning and had to drink some sort of preparatory concoction.
Anyway, on reaching the lounge I could hear a rare old commotion outside as a group of starlings were flocking around the bird feeders. Among them was a completely undeterred fledgeling blue tit; tiny in comparison but incredibly brave as it stood its ground and got its fair share of mealworms!
Of course, I just had to grab my camera and get a photograph (and some video) which you can see below.
