Have you ever looked at your roses in the garden and wondered why there are crescent shaped cutouts in the leaves?
No?
It's all down to a little nesting creature providing a home for her larvae to develop. And this creature? It is the leaf cutter bee, and I spent a good hour or so watching one building her little nest in a bamboo wind chime in my garden early one morning just last week.
