lost...gone forever
Towards the back end of last year I decided I needed to streamline all my data storage. I had bits of photos and videos on a mixture of four different external drives and figured I'd be better off consolidating them all on to one disc which could then be easily cloned for back-up purposes.

On the drive containing all my "raw" video footage, I had a folder with scripts, various downloads and images I'd used in the production of my videos. And when I transferred all the years of raw footage over to my new system I forgot about this folder and they've been deleted.
Gone forever.
I've always been really careful with back-ups, having two copies plus originals at all times so I checked all my old backups just in case I'd copied them somewhere but to no avail.
Now, none of this stuff is important. It's all material that's been used in the making and production of videos. But it still hurts that I no longer have it all. And all because of a stupid mistake.
