heavy rock

No, not a return to Black Sabbath, but an image of a, well, heavy rock!

I took this in early December last year at Dunraven Bay.  The tide was as far out as I'd ever seen it there exposing the rocky, algae covered pavement and this large rock.

I set up my camera low down to the ground and placed the rock around 2 feet in front of my wide-angle lens making it look a lot bigger than it actually was.

I then shot two images: the first focused on the rock and the second on the background as it was impossible to get both in sharp focus in one image.  I then blended them in Photoshop

I love the green algae in this image along with the hints of a red sunset.  If I can make more images like this in 2021 it'll be a great year.

Rock on!
