in the footsteps of giants

Dunraven Bay lies on the jurassic Glamorgan Heritage Coast.  It's a place where many famous fossils have been discovered.

I love taking pictures here and some of my all-time best images are at this bay.

This isn't one of them!  But it is a nice photo.  I got my camera down low to the ground close to the indentations in the bedrock which I like to think are dinosaur footsteps.  They could be!

Fujifilm GFX50R, Fujinon GF23mm f4

tripod, self-timer release
Formatt Hitech 3-stop reverse graduated filter

What I particularly like about this picture. though is the way the low setting sun imparts its glow on the rocky shore.  I deliberately didn't polarise the exposure so I could emphasise this look.

If you like, you can watch a video about the making of this image here.
