I really struggle in this environment
I think that after all these years I'm reasonably proficient at landscape photography. I mean, I should be, yes?
Whether in the hills or at the coast, waterfalls or rocky beaches I feel at home with my camera and lenses and am generally happy with the results.
But there is one environment in which I really struggle, and that's woodland. To be obvious, I can rarely see the wood for the trees and find recognising pleasing compositions a real chore.
So, this past couple of months I have forced myself into this uncomfortable area of my hobby, determined to finally make some half-decent images. I'm not too sure I've succeeded, but here is the pick of my woodland images.
Not a very spectacular return I know, but in the spring I'll be heading out in search of bluebells. They're really easy to get right….
