butterflies vs moths

You can apparently tell a lot of very revealing truths about a person depending on their fritillary preferences.  So, are you a butterfly or a moth person?

Actually, that isn't true, well as far as I know anyway, but I have to say I'm a lover of both and find them equally fascinating and beautiful.

So much so that I've spent a large part of this summer photographing them, and I've already published two of my favourite images from this year on here already.  And below you can find the image that completes my set of most loved images from this summer.  

It's of a meadow brown.  Such a drab name for a beautiful little butterfly.

This wonderful creature sat on some yellow fleabane, its proboscis seeking out pollen from the plant's yellow flowers for an eternity, allowing me to get closer and closer until eventually I was only about 15cm away from it.  What a treat!
