a crescent (and very pleasant) moon

I've had a video planned and half shot for weeks now.  I just need to get out and film some b-roll and a conclusion.

Easy; you'd think.

But no.  Whenever I make plans and set the time aside, my fatigue just takes over making the simple process of just leaving the house an almost impossibly daunting undertaking.  I really feel like I'm broken.

Instead of just having another blank Saturday and letting down the 34 people who watch my videos, I figured I'd bring forward a video I'd planned for early next year - a long-term review of my now two-and-a-half year old Fujifilm X-H2.  You can watch it by clicking below as usual.

To accompany it though, well sort of, I went out into my front garden and shot this rather lovely image of a crescent moon set against a pitch-black, starless sky.

Moon photography, as I've discovered over many years of trying to perfect it, is hard.  Getting the exposure just so while maintaining a fast enough shutter speed (the moon really does travel quite quickly if you study it) is the main problem.  This is about as good as it gets for me!

Oh yes, here's the video:
