beachcombing
A recent visit to Limeslade Bay at low tide revealed some interesting finds.
Firstly, a pebble with a leaf that resembled a tree almost tattooed onto the rough surface, and then the strangest thing I've found in a while - a periwinkle attached to some seaweed in turn attached to a coral-like (but not a coral) filter feeding species called a bryozoan. I initially thought it might be some skeletal remains of a small fish or the like but no; stranger things!
