the only good mosquito...

I don't particularly enjoy taking pictures of dead insects.  But just the other day I was trying out my new Olympus and OM System macro kit, firstly to just get the hang of it and secondly to start to really get to know it in time for next spring and some proper insect shooting, and I spotted this ridiculously tiny dead mosquito on a houseplant.

I figured it might make for an interesting study of the camera's and lens's capabilities so fired a 17-shot focus bracket.  Here's the little critter...
