a milestone

When my cancer relapsed the start of 2023, my whole future was once again thrown into uncertainty and confusion.

So, I decided that the best way forward was to try to break that future into memorable and manageable "chunks".

My first goal if you like was to get to my 60th birthday in March 2024.  With that mission accomplished I looked at Christmas '24 in the longer term and then my next birthday.  With those two ticked off I put my mind into reaching a really very important event, the most important event of them all - our 25th, or Silver, wedding anniversary.

And we are celebrating that this week!

I must confess that back in 2014 when I was first diagnosed and the following months when I was really very sick that reaching 60 and our anniversary were pipe dreams - a very long way off.  But here we are, looking ahead to many more special occasions!

You've just got to hang in there sometimes.

at least one of us has aged well!!!
